This is one of those projects that sat in my to do pile for a long time. In fact, I first blogged about it here almost 2 years ago! I love boiled wool, and it is so soft any easy to work with. Upcycling a ladies jacket is ideal as buying boiled wool from the fabric store is quite costly. There is no shortage of old lady boiled wool jackets at the thrift store though. The only issue is finding ones that don’t have wildlife embroidered on the front!

I was able to use the existing jacket front and also the pockets and the lower part of the sleeves. The hood and pockets are lined with a grey polka dot t-shirt. Pippa loves her coat and calls it her “red riding hood coat”. I’m keeping my eye out for more jackets as I think Nell needs a cozy boiled wool bunting like this one.
