Key Pieces

Spring is here! Well, we still have snow on the ground, but a girl can dream. I like to switch out my jewelry in the fall and in the spring. Having a minimalist wardrobe, with only pieces that fit really well and that you love and feel great in, is really appealing to me. It does however conflict with my love of collecting! There is something refreshing though about having only a few key pieces to choose from. Who has the money, energy or space for hordes of clothing and accessories?

I don’t wear a lot of jewelry, maybe 2 pieces at a time (plus my wedding ring), and about 95% of my jewelry comes from the thrift store or was passed down from family members. It’s kind of fun to look at each piece and remember where I bought it or who gave it to me. My favourite is probably the Eiffel tower charm that I bought in Paris many moons ago. I added it to a necklace that had lost it’s decorative stone charm.

What are your favourite pieces of jewelry? Do you change your jewelry each season?

Favourite Things: Lazybones

Thanks to Pinterest, I have just discovered the gorgeous Australian company called Lazybones. Originally making only sleep wear, they have expanded their line to include clothing, bedding and girls clothing. Vintage floral prints? Voile cotton? Fluffy white quilts? I’m in heaven!

Here is a peek at some of my favourite things:
